1 Samuel 17:28-29

28Now Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke to the men. And Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, “Why have you come down? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your presumption and the evil of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.” 29And David said, “What have I done now? Was it not but a word?”

Ecclesiastes 4:4

4Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man’s envy of his neighbor. This also is avanity
The Hebrew term hebel can refer to a “vapor” or “mere breath”; also verses 7, 8, 16 (see note on 1:2)
and a striving after wind.

Mark 14:4

4There were some who said to themselves indignantly, “Why was the ointment wasted like that?

John 12:4-6

4But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, 5Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii
A  denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer
and dgiven to the poor?”
6He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and ehaving charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.
